I am keeping the flowers alive in St Oswalds as we have a wedding on January 7th and I want the windowsill greenery to last as 3 big candles are with them and it will look good . Our flower team keeps the flowers going as long as possible . Just up early to see the Dustbin men for their Christmas Box, and we have had our first real frost . Every new insight into your character brings feelings of recognition.
I'm afraid I only got as far as thinking about St. Mary's beautiful Christmas flowers. By the time the church is 'open for business' again, they will be dead. Such a waste poor things.
Your trips to the allotment in Winter sound lovely. Planning and drinking tea whether herbal or conventional sounds like a perfect occupation to me.
I've never had an allotment nor the energy to maintain one, but have always embraced the idea as quintessentially British.
As for the 'turning into one's mother, it is a well-established for all women (however they might deny it) means of retaining some of their well loved - and less well-loved characteristics.
Keep blogging (with lovely photos) and have a happy healthy 2017.
Ray Barneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09209429097744326143noreply@blogger.com
